Nail Science & Anatomy Presentation

Understanding the anatomy of the natural nail is important for delivering safe and effective treatments. In this module, we discuss:

• The structure of the nail

• Nail growth cycle timeline

  This will prepare you for the contraindication module of our course

Product Knowledge

We provide in-depth training on the products and tools used within the nail industry. You will learn:

• The types of polish - Gel Polish, Builder Gel, and other nail systems

• The different types of nail tools and their uses

• Understanding nail file grits and selecting the correct one for your treatment.

  
  

  This module ensures you feel confident choosing and working with professional products to deliver long-lasting results.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety is essential in every professional salon or mobile setup. This section covers:

• Industry-standard hygiene practices and PPE usage

• Methods of sanitisation and sterilisation

• Correct workstation setup and daily cleaning routines

Client Consultation & Contraindications

Client care starts before the treatment begins. In this section, you’ll learn how to:

Gel Polish or Builder Gel Application

• Practice on training hands, followed by supervised work on a live model

• Troubleshooting common issues such as lifting, chipping, and uneven application

You will be provided with a training manual which you can refer back to anytime.

I want my students to feel supported at all times, when you qualify in your chosen area and begin working this is when your true practice begins. We are constantly learning and it’s important to continue to develop your skills throughout your career.
